gearbox pivot stud

what are the dimensions of the gearbox bottom gearbox pivot stud and what size are nuts on NH 350 1954 DRAGS are saying its 7/16" round and part number 42-4077 but the long nut on the bottom of clutch chain case looks like its 5/16 " or 3/8 " do not know what is right my one has bean welded a bit on to the stud the chain case side thank you

Not sure what you mean by 'gearbox pivot stud' for a swing-arm Ariel, the part number 42-4077 seems to be for a Triumph part.
Ariels have a long through-bolt that screws into the frame, with a smaller diameter extended 'nose' that is used for the lower chaincase mounting (with a 5/16x26 nut).

hi Simon that is the right one on drags you sent me when i look on drags site that what number i found but drags do not have one on back order like most parts i will try peter kemp or Geof Brown thank you

If you get stuck for a replacement Drags seem to have stock of the stainless-steel pivot bolts.
(Look like Clay at ACME has them as well, also in stainless and a lot cheaper than Drags.

thanks again Simon i will look in to it i am going to email peter Kemp and Geof Brown first i like to buy off the club if i can if not i will get one off acme stainless
