If my experience is anything to go by, you will see a stream of petrol!

Hot air guns are great for taking floats apart for emptying and repair, but use an iron for putting them back together. If you get the float too hot during soldering, when you remove the heat you will find the air inside contracts and causes the last bit of the joint to form a pinhole...

I might try some of the Sta-bil solution. Any recommendations as to which one? 360 or storage?
