Huntmaster side stand spring

Postby FrankBeevers » Fri Nov 01, 2019 4:07 pm

I've just fitted the side stand to my 1957 Huntmaster but can't see an obvious place to hook the other end of the return spring to. Could anyone give me a steer? Thanks, Frank

Frank:
Hope you don't have components that have suffered surgery - it sounds a bit like you might have!
The pics from Steve C. here might give enough detail to help you out:

In the 3rd pic down there's a pretty good view of the attachment 'pillar' on the stand, the one on the frame looks the same and is off the back of the stand pivot lug. If you can't see them on your frame and stand I'm worried for you  !!

Thanks for the picture and advice chaps. Hallelujah! How the ******* hell did I miss seeing that? It's there, in all its beauty. Either I take a trip to Specsavers or take up knitting. On second thoughts, Specsavers it is. Heartfelt thanks.
