Just what I need for next month's LDR ;) .

The Touratech mount I have is just too small and fussy so I have bought a tank bag with a map pocket on top. The problem is, I probably won't be able to read it with my vari-focal lenses  .

I fear no.
It took me the best part of 3 days + a few false starts
I used this electronic box as a start point, finally I only used the hull.

Maybe I fit a few LED's in it for night riding…...

Next level is a head up display inside my goggle's :D

Vincent,

The route card interests me. Was it computer generated?

I assume it's A4 size with 5 junctions to a row and 7 rows to a page.

Will, I'm sure on the vmcc forum is a link to tulip map planning.
Too long winded for me. I type the text then draw the junction detail.

Hi Will, Yes it looks like it. It's from the Piston Club in North Spain .
They are doing these rallys now for 30+ years so probably they have these things computerized.

One from the BOM organisers, different icons etc. looks good and clear

But...in good old Belgium fashion they start at the left hand down corner, then move straight up and again go down to second row bottom and up again.

Vincent,

Thank you for the examples and the explanation. I'd realised the numbers didn't add up going
across but i hadn't (quite) got to trying from bottom to top.

I have a process to create page PDFs of a route from a text file which has the ability to
generate pages from 3 junction along by 4 up to 6 along by 7 up for the really keen-sighted.
It scales the diagrams and text accordingly.

This

1,,No Sign,,,,0.0,!st 270 90
2,,Upper Stondon 2,,,,1.0,!ra 225 90 170 315
3,,Meppershall 1/2,,,,1.2,!st 270 90
4,,Shillington 1 1/4,,,,0.6,!st 90 270
5,,Gravenhurst 1 3/4,,,,0.9,!st 270 90
6,,Barton 5,Bury Rd.,,,0.5,!st 75 255
7,,Lower Gravenhurst,Hanscombe End Rd.,,,0.7,!st 270 180
8,,Higham Gobion 1,,,,0.6,!st 270 135

creates this

sample_slice.jpg

I'm interested in seeing what others have done so I can learn from them.

Why did I do it? I found I was leading a procession of other riders as I was the
one who could see the route cards. Has it made any difference? Yes, I know do
all the route cards, not just mine.
