Richard Hobart Hi Mariano - The measurements from my W/NG stand are as follows :-
A - 40mm;
B - 465mm;
C - 25mm;
D - 68mm;
E - 20mm;
F - 13mm.
Of course, I have no way of knowing whether or not my one is the original item, but I've no reason to believe it would not be. I hope that's of use. Best regards - Richard.

Back to Alan's post (sorry for the delay) Length is measured from centre of hole to tip of the entire assembly. That's probably the most important distance as the others might vary and this is the one that matters to how it works.
The one I now have on the bike at present which I think is TOO LONG 24 inches
An original (I would think). I just have just checked at 22 Inches hole to tip. I had used this one for about 15 years, till it bent near the top due rolling forward, My best guess is USE the 22 inch measure. The bike is standard in every way Tyres and forks and spring etc and I've done a lot of miles on this W/NG. Nev

Just comparing where the stand in the photo above ends compared to mine. Its much shorter than even my shortest one. This may have been the way they were but the bike will be at quite a lean even at the highest angle possible to make it with any given length. I would try 3.5 inches past the LH pivot bolt for the normal rear stand and see how that works. That should equate to about 21 inches from hole to tip of the entire assembly . (not just the shaft bit). A Repro I had at one stage was a larger diameter tube. Perhaps later ones were that way. IF my original bent, it wouldn''t be the first. Nev

Thanks. Looks like the made in india ones would need extending as they appear to be 19 1/2 inches

When they are on a big lean they tend to want to roll forward or backwards too much. They are really only parked safely if against a tree curb or such to prevent them rolling. The stand is not strong enough to resist rolling. If the engine has good compression I leave it in 1st gear but you can't really trust that. rear to a curb is best. I find the 22 inches the best overall length. Longer and it will slip outwards on a hard surface. Nev
