Lodge plug

Evening all,

Could someone please let me know the code for a Lodge plug that would suit a WNG?

I have been through this process for my two singles. Looking at forum recommendations, owners books and internet info I came to the conclusion that for my WNG and '39 VH a Champion L82 or a Bosch W7AC or a NGK B6HS would be suitable (i use Champion or Bosch). If you look at the following site to cross reference those against Lodge plugs the equivalent is a Lodge HN or 2H

The green spark plug website says "Our British made Lodge spark plugs are the last remaining stock from the 1970’s" so maybe Lodge are no longer in existence?.

HI Think you will find lodge plugs have been took over by one of the big boys and shutdown like they do with most i deal with motor factors and go to lots of trade shows and not seen lodge plugs for sale for years like lots of stuff gets rebranded wen they get took over there is a lot names that has gone over the years

I know they’re hard Plug to find but at least now I know what to look for. (I do enjoy “the hunt” for stuff)
So it’s either the Lodge HN or Lodge H2.

HI spark plugs have change over the years to keep up with the changeling fuels so they burn better they use different types of electrodes to make them work better i use NGK plugs to me they have always been first to bring out new types of plugs and got me out of trouble in my racing days i use them all the time in my workshops if i have a problem trying to get the right plug for a job i just ring them up and they tell me what plug to get they are very and they seem to be right for me the last 40 years after i had a lot of problems with champions with the 4 different grades of plugs i had to use to race NGK came up with one type of plug to start it up and race on with out using one grade to start it up on and a different grade to race on it work very well i done a hundred lap race that day with no problems for me they really up their game i have never look back using them since

Best to go for a modern equivalent in NGK or Champion for everyday use (with a spare or two in the toolbox) and maybe one original lodge for "show" ? I think I am on a NGK B5HS ...

I don't like NKG's. If they get wet, you are missing a spark and it
is very hard to get them dry.

I find that original old stock Lodge plugs are far more reliable and long lasting than modern NGK and Champions in my vintage and veteran bikes. There are still plenty about on Ebay and at autojumbles. My experience is that modern plugs often spark well when tested outside the engine but when fitted they perform poorly if at all.

I couldn't agree more Brian. I do use modern plugs, but only Bosch ones, because of the poor experiences I have had with Champion and especially NGK. I use the old Lodge plugs for exhibition purposes - and as the backup spares in the toolbox for when the modern plugs go down.
