Drive sprockets

Postby Rgray » Mon Jun 25, 2018 9:09 am

Hi Fellas,

Iv`e done a couple of thousand miles on my W/ng up to now this year and she runs without missing a beat. 8-)

My chain and front sprocket are worn and I would like to replace them.

I have civillian gearing, but I`m not sure what sprockets I need as these were fitted a long time ago. If possible, I would like to keep the bike whole as long as poss.. Can one of you fine chaps tell me what I need please?

Also, the bearings in the rear wheel are toast. Which bearings do I need?

Ta!

the military vs civvie gearing is handled within the gearbox

so you should run the standard 47T rear and the standard 350 18T gearbox sprocket

You don't have a lot of choice in NEW sprockets these days. the 23 (VH) engine ones seem unobtainable. The standard W/NG one has proven spot on for me.
If you gear things up for a bit easier speeding you lose out when a hill comes along and once you down change you aren't getting there at any real speed. Nev
