Have sunk a national budget in it, making it bright and shiny, as well as a wee bit quicker. We'll see around spring time how goes.

I'm working on a similar project tho I got rid of the rubber mounts for the 1" bars. Where are you putting the horn? Is yours a 350? I haven't finally decided yet on the engine size, but I'd like to get it mobile as quick as possible. It's to use rather than admire. Late 39/40 mostly. Originally a 40 VA Nev

Yes, a 350 with 7,5:1 CR piston and a Franklin P2 cam (~HS MkI -54) It is originally a W/NG made in 1940, early one. As it was missing so much original W/NG parts, and already had been civilianized by former owners, I went for a -39 ISDT look-a-like. It will be used when ready, already yearning for spring and summer to go into the mountains with it. I am putting the horn on a homemade bracket, that will attach to the field stand pivot bolt on the frame. I am going to put twin exhausts on it, so no field stand. The frame cover plates and the horn bracket I do not have, neither an original Altette - but a 12V repro I bought at Stafford. Going with 12V on this one, with a new 12V/100w alternator made in Poland.

Yes,
A bargain!

Now remember the more you ride it the cheaper the 'per mile' price becomes!
