I've had this scratch I can't itch for some time.
Packing my tent and gear for rallies is a bore, I hate putting them up and can never get them back in thier bag.
The idea of a small camping trailer that can be towed behind my bike but big enough to sleep in.
My plan is to arive on site... Stop.... Lift lid.... Pour beer.! Well after a couple of false starts I think ive found the itch. Let the scratching begin
Ebay found the trailer. It was in Milton Keynes so rode up on Friday and picked it up. The guy selling it was a lovely guy and had quite a collection of bikes, even an Ariel KH. He was surprised to see a Huntmaster with a tow bar turn up though
It looked very long, almost too long. Well it was, A previous owner made a platform on the draw bar to take a cool box. The law says a trailer must be under 2.5 meters from rear axle to the rear most part of the trailer. So the cooler tray had to go.
Alan plus his angle grinder made the trailer legal again.
First job is to obtain a pair of gas struts to hold the lid up. Then I can get designing the tent part.
