My ride home on monday didn't go without a hitch, I had two jobs on my way home. One in Meddlesham and the other near Colchester. Again my alternator chain came off so this time I just connected up my spare battery and the clutch nut started coming off. I had used lock tight rather then a tab washer. It has a tab washer now :D

When I got home and took the timing cover off the chain had broken, hopefuly now with my new spare alternator chain fitted all shoud be fine now.

Wednesday I was working at Aylesbury Police Station. This all worked out fine. Clutch worked and for once a complete journey with an intact alternator chain :D

With all that's going on I might have some spare time to to finish my bike. Hopefully I've everything I need.
I've received some gearbox seals and bushes from gearbox spares. Thanks Geoff. So my first job is fitting the sleeve gear bushes and seal. Plus a new bearing.

Yes, it's easy to do with the main body still in the bike, I managed to knock the old bearing out when I'd removed the large circlip. There one plain bush in there which might be tricky to replace but my one was fine.

I'm back at my bike, finished getting the gear box back together. Today I've fitted the exhaust.

Next will be to fit the head steady which is a bit of a pain to do.

One extra feature I'd like to incorporate is a kettle. Coffee on the road is very expensive and likely to be more so after this emergency so I bought this 12volt water boiler.

Just need a leather carrier for it. I'll find a spot for it behind my fairing.

The base with the plug is fitted into my leather carrier.

I hope daft ideas isn't a symptom of the virus :D

Fitted the head steady under the rocker box, I thought this was going to be difficult but the alloy head has large holes directly under the nuts so could put a socket on an extension up under.
