Bandit Help

Postby Steven.Carter » Sun May 10, 2020 2:57 pm

My neighbour thinks I'm a bike mechanic, after putting him right on this matter he asked if I could put a new chain and sprockets on his Suzuki. Well I thought should be easy, or so I thought.
Anyway I can't get the drive sprocket nut off. I've got a good purchase on it but it won't shift.
What's that funny thing in front of the nut. Is that stopping me getting the nut off?

HI Steven i did one and heated the nuts up and used a impact gun or you can put it in gear and put the rear brake on and get a socket and a long power bar i can not remember if they are left handed nuts you will have to look at the thread hope that will help you :?:

A decent lithium ion impact gun will make fast work of that. I never used to believe in them because of the lack of feel, but having used them for the last year or so I am utterly converted.

Hi

From here it appears to be a speedo sensor and needs to be removed first:

There was, well spotted. I got the whole lot off with the rattle gun. Thanks for your help.
