I've a primary drive belt on the Huntmaster, never broken one, even with grooves cut in it by escaping screws didnt break it.

So the gearbox had to come out to change the belt. Sensible people put up to 5 belt into place on that occasion and tied them up with strings (plastic strings were not yet invented) untill they were needed.

Thats a good idea, I wonder if there's room in there for a spare, I'll look later. Poor bike is still in the back of my van :D

I had a 1935 Adler Trumph Junior half-cabrio car before going in to old motorcycles, it had a belt with holes like a pre 1925 motorcycle.

It was a very modern car, 1000cc 4 cylinder 4 stroke frontwheel drive.

Here a nice story; like the De Dion axels it had worn leather (Steve :D ) accordion dust covers on the radget? stering divice wich was made of cast iron but i had it sprayed in aluminium color.
A friend sayd that it looked like the item of a Renault 5 (wich is made of aluminium), so i went to the Renault dealer parts section and asked "would the model 5 dust covers fit ?", the man; "offcours it will fit as your having a model 5 item in your hands", i; "no this is of a 1935 Adler", the man; "than they fitted a Renault item", i; "no this is a Adler original look at the cast-in eagle", the very iritated man now; "i don have time for these nonsens i will get you the dust covers".

And they fitted like a glove :D .

As you can see my car was BMW metalic blue with red rib velvet trim, a beauty.

Well this was my first attempt at a boot, bit of a fail. But I've practiced a bit more since, they are getting a bit better now.

I've done a right boot which isn't too bad so I'll have a go at the left .

Sewing the upper parts first.

Upper sewn up, I've made a decent finger loop at the the back of the boot. Big enough to get a finger through it
