Quality of rubber parts ?

Postby nevhunter » Sun Oct 28, 2012 8:23 am

the K/S rubber has died for the folding one on the VCH. It's always been good at kicking back when starting. Do the ones supplied by Drags stay on and not slip. Nev

I saw Nev post this on another thread

I find the quality of rubber parts to be uniformly pants.
KS rubber twist and rip fairly quickly andgrips split and crack ?

Does anyone make longer lasting ones ?

Thanks John. They need to be quite tight also as having them turn when kicking isn't desired. I don't mund paying a bit more for good stuff. Nev

Nev, I bought a heap of cheap ones from ebay. No problems so far.
The good stuff may be from the same factory? Anything NOS and rubber is for exhibition only.
The go with stuff from India is to log in to ebay in different countries (ie US, UK etc) and check the difference in postage to Aus. Still coming from India. I'm not sure why it's different, but it often is.

i'm sure the quality varies enormously. Same with tank grips. I will have to get off my backside and do something about knee grips too. Most of the stuff I have is original and cracking up. ( Like ME) Nev
