Stove enameled The cylinders on my Harley many years ago and its still good. That included 10 years of hot Long Island summers. Did the alloy heads and rocker boxes with VHT winkle finish and there ain't much left of it. All were grit blasted before application. So yes, I would definitely stove a cylinder again, I would even try it on an iron head. Smoothrite may also be an option or maybe two pack even. Adhesion always seems to be a problem on alloy though.
