Fantastic photos. Am I correct in assuming they are from Christmas 1936? My basis for this assumption is the shape of the knee grip rubbers coupled with the tank panel shapes which suggests 1937 model year bikes. Decorations suggest Christmas, which would have to be 1936 to fit.

I have asked the original poster of these pictures if he would mind them being published in Cheval de Fer and the answer was an emphatic YES. I have also asked for a definitive date if known and will get back with an answer asap.

Terry Ingram who posted this originally, and whose Great Aunt is in the photo, thought they were from the Fifties which is clearly too late. So I think Paul's educated guess is as close as we can get! It is definitely the Ariel works Christmas party in the factory though.
