With my wheel out I just about remembered that a photo might be handy for you. That swinging arm now has around 6000 miles done. All looks good so far

Tracy Tools and Unithread sells left hand drills. Whit such ones it is easy to get broken studs out. Drill into it, and suddenly the heat from the drill loosens it.

Looking at one of the pictures I took whilst siting my oil filter a while back, I had a thought.

Did you trim your mudguard to allow you to get to that grease nipple Steve?
cheers

I've a stainless mudguard fitted on mine which I had to trim a bit to fit between the swinging arm. I just got lucky that it happened to suit my grease nipple. Thinking about it, Alan fitted a straight normal nipple on his, he probably did that because of his mudguard

Just one trip last week to a Water Works near Hastings.
Most of my work was on a piece of equipment called a Lamella. It sounds almost appetizing, like something you'd for afters in a posh restaurant :D

I'd like to say my trip to Tetbury yesterday was by Ariel but no. I used the train to get to get to Kemble then cycled a few miles to Tetbury to meet a friend and help him drive home, The reason though for boring you with my extracurricular activity is a nice picture :D

Sunday I rode to Sammy Millers autojumble. All the usual stuff, even a blue Huntmaster.

Some lovely bikes parked up though.

After Sammy Millers I parked up at home and visited a steam fair, just short walk from home. Realy nice to be able to visit a beer tent and not ride home :D

Gidday Steven,
Not wanting to hijack your thread, but if you are interested in steam, here's a few photos and video links. We have quite a few traction engines over here in N.Z. and were lucky enough to have two fairground machines brought over here from Dorset for five years - the May Queen and Quo Vadis.
Here's a link to a traction engine gathering here a few years ago:
https://youtu.be/qvSvdXTdF4o
You'll see both entering the field from 8'45" onwards

And another brief clip of Quo Vadis at the Methven A & P show:
https://youtu.be/qvSvdXTdF4o

We were incredibly lucky to have both beautiful machines at the annual agricultural show in our small village. You'll see from the May Queen photo that he drove it down to the centre of our village to go to the pub !!

Cheers,
Bevan

Fine machines both. You might notice from my latest blog post that I have started on a new venture in that direction myself:

Of course I'll blog those activities too...

Hijack over!
