Very Early Ariel tricycle in

Postby john.mitchell » Mon Feb 04, 2019 6:52 pm

Can anyone help with this query?

I am an author writing about an early Australian engineer/inventor who
is best known for his pioneering work in motion picture but he was also
a pioneer of motor cars/bikes. I have photographs of an Ariel tricycle
that he purchased sometime before 1900 and according to press reports
modified to tow a two passenger behind (that is the vehicle had 5
wheels). He undertook some of the first long country driving on outback
roads in Victoria over the next decade. I am interested in establish a
dialogue with any member familiar with the earliest Ariel motor
tricycles so as to ascertain the extent of the modifications
identifiable from the photographs.

I can be reached at this email address. roblanauze@gmail.com
