Square Four screen/fairing

Postby tomwalker » Fri Mar 08, 2019 11:20 am

I am going to Europe (with my IDP!?) touring in June, and was hoping you might be able to share any experiences with a screen or fairing on a Sq 4.
I have a period screen on my Harley, which doesnt fit on the Ariel, and am leaning towards a screen as opposed to a full fairing, just to take some of the wind blast.
I think it will be easy enough to adapt a generic handlebar screen.
But as a matter of interest would like to know if a full fairing was ever made for the Sq 4.
Thanks Tom.

My late father acquired a KH with a full (Avon?) fairing. I can't think of a reason why it would not have fitted a Square - the forks are the same, but somebody may know better.

I don't recall seeing a fairing on a Square Four but back in 1970-72 I used a "Tri-Point" screen which I found to be very good.

Are they still available ???

I wouldn't fit a full fairing to a Square 4. They tend to run hot as it is, and the reduction in air flow over the engine would possibly be detrimental.
