Hello Lee, nice to have spoken with you for a while at the rally.
I hope you had - regardless of all - a good day.

Well I couldn't leave alone. Engine apart everything cleaned. Crank ceases blasted timing cover polished and letters repainted. Head and barrel are ready for painting.

Gents is there any reason why I can't use a compression ratio of 8.5 to 1 with an iron twin?
The club sells new 7.5 to 1 pistons I need plus. 040"
As it stands the standard 63 by 80 equals 249.38 ccs per cylinder with 7.5 to 1 pistons equals 33.250 cc's
At plus. 040" the cylinder is now 257.36 cc's with the same 7.5 pistions it now gives 7.7 to 1 ratio.
. 016" equals 1 cc. So 30.250 cc's will give me 8.507 to 1
So. 032" to be removed from the barrel.
