I'm glad someone likes it :D
Not to my taste but that is an interesting-looking 2LS front brake? Is it any good, John??

They are simple engines, composed of large chunky bits, which are tolerant of misuse and abuse (if put together right)
Most parts are available, although short frame rear mudguards (like mine is) are getting a bit rare.

I have done nothing with it bar checking the engine and gearbox, and then honing with new rings.
I did replace the odd design of coil to (manual advance) via a distributer with coil straight to points. 12v via a 12v regulator.
new ring/pinioon gear for solo use. new carbs (£50/pair).

Stainless rims and spokes were the biggest expense at £100/wheel, but the bike was only £450 to start with.
I reckon it owes me about £1500.

It kicks over ok and sounds alright and is now registered 1960.
The usual teething problems and then the cold weather have prevented the usual shake down runs.

I am not sure why there is such a huge stigma around stuff like this, in superficially similar old bike clubs. Ah well: their loss.
