That sounds a bit like a Rolls-Royce for a Ford job. If you make adjustable plungers - you adjust them (but I admit you need to replace the corks every 5 years or so.) What was the life expectancy of an Ariel in 1937 ? - maybe 10 years at best - and the intervention of a World War to hasten disrepair.
