Green... no not a frog, I mean the export colour!

Postby Paul Slootheer » Fri Aug 09, 2019 6:48 pm

Allright, here we go: who knows which colour comes most close or near the export green The Works used for their export Ariels or even got a sample? Is there a RAL colour to match?

Hello Paul,
I had paint behind the badges of a '37NG matched and small tin mixed.
If you can't get a RAL number, I'm happy to either paint a bit of card and post or take it to a paint place an see if they can turn it into a number.

Thanks Simon, from Drags site :

1938-51 Green, usually found as an option on export deluxe models and 1939 SQ4, petrol tanks and rim centres – BMC or Leyland Reseda Green ICI HC76, very good.

Hi Paul and Vincent, The paint is drying and soon to be in the mail.
I will go via a paint shop.
The numbers on the tin mean nothing to me or Google.
The other tin came from behind the badge of a 1934 LH. It is a much deeper red than the later version and the colour may be of use to someone.

I went to the paint shop with the info from the Drags catalogue and they made me a tin of paint up straight away.
