thats a very nice Mk1. Congratulations.
When I looked at the photos of your outing, it seems that the 2 front mudguard stays are too long compared with the red Mk1. Too long stays result in an uptilting mudguard. There are 2 different lenghs, the one for the valanced guard and the other for the unvalanced guard.
Actually I do have a pair of the short stays and need a pair of the long ones for my bike. So if you are interested we could do a straight swap. Details could be discussed over the phone.

Hi Klaus, yes my stays are the wrong ones, but I can’t tell you if they are the right ones for the unvalanced mudguards. They were in the boxes of bits and could have come from anywhere. I do have the right ones now, but need to paint them before assembly. Anyway, I’ll measure them and let you know - you can then see if they fit on yours.

Gui,
the stays for the valanced mudguard should be ca 27 cm between centers, the stays for unvalanced guards ca 29,5 cm.
