My only area of some knowledge is the 20's A&B models but I rather fancy this '32 VH . It sounds good and looks gorgeous although to me rather pricey but any views on originality etc you experts?
For me, it is a cheap restoration. Not correct: Head lamp (must be H52), Speedometer, ex. pipes (must be 2"), silencers, carrier, ... Not pictured: rear lamp, handlebars, ...
As lovely as a 32 VH is, the price is astonishing.
It's been on the web for a while and like the other astronomically priced bikes which have been stagnating on the web it is likely to remain unsold.
Maybe an Arab prince might buy it for his foyer.
It can't be good business, having stock which doesn't move is not good business as it ties up capital and there are other risks such as theft, damage etc. Looking at the dealers it is clear to see which ones have a constant stream of business and which ones are static.
I can see why you like the Ariel, the downside is the 4 valve head, it is cracked or it soon will be on modern fuels. Beside the long list of other faults there is no drive to the (wrong) speedo. So better buy 2 valve 4 gears.
