Wtd VH Clutch Basket

Postby derekmalcolm » Mon Apr 05, 2021 2:59 pm

I am trying to find a clutch basket for a 1956 VH. I have the rest of the clutch but the basket does not come up very often on ebay. The one on ebay at present is identified as Panther but looks to suit an NH but I am hoping the seller will confirm.

VH and NH clutch baskets aren't the same. The NH has a 2-plate clutch while the
VH has a 3-plate.

The observant will notice a slight anomoly with the clutch centre, not basket, for sale by Fukked. Described as a clutch hub with boss, the part number is correct for the description but the part shown is the 1936-47 version without the centre boss. You will no have to be a member of the club in order to buy from a club spares organiser. The club did have some new ones and Draganfly have reconditioned ones on exchange.

Thanks all . You are correct that it is not the clutch centre 3355-XX or 3356-XX that I am after it is part 3350-XX. John Budgen does not have them, Drags are only for exchange.

In continuing to chase the clutch basket I have discovered that the rear sprocket is another piece of rocking horse sh*t. so now having a complete NH and a frames and a substantial number of parts for a VH and a VB membership of the club has become sensible. Hopefully the spares scheme has a secret source for these mythical parts.

Thanks all

Full width hub rear sprockets?
Someone did a(nother) new batch not so very long ago (2 years?)
They started appearing on ebay and John Budgen had some also.
If they've all gone by now, they might yet come back - keep your eyes open.

I see the Vincent Owner's Club sells a clutch basket with sprocket but I guess it is for the CP box:
