1939 4G toolbox

Postby Pete.Silson » Fri Jan 11, 2019 12:40 pm

I have bought a toolbox (of unknown origin) which I am aiming to use for a 39 Anstey 4G that didn't come with one. Pictures of 39 4G's on the interweb seem to have a huge variety of different toolboxes fitted - some of which are similar to the one I bought. Does anybody know of a definitive drawing/photo of a 1939 toolbox - ideally with dimensions and details of the mounting brackets etc.

The holes and brackets on mine look nothing like the picture in the 1939 parts list however the cover looks very similar to the 1939 4G on the AOMCC website. The size of my toolbox is: 8-1/2" x 8-1/2" x 2-3/4".

Have a look through this post: viewtopic.php?f=40&t=7151 The toolbox looks like the one you have. If so maybe Paul Wirdnam is the man to help you out
